Connect is a mission focused social networking tool focused on Missions and Great Commission efforts for the furtherance of Great Commission collaborative efforts.
OVERVIEW
The Global Great Commission Network has developed Connect as a secure, online, cooperative tool with goals to see the mission world better CONNECT, COMMUNICATE, AND COLLABORATE.
CONNECT
Connect is first and foremost a virtual space to connect. We want to see people interacting with as many ministries, resources, etc. as possible. Connect is a place that introduces individuals to the variety of components that make up the Mission world and provides a platform to interact and hopefully collaborate with one another.
COMMUNICATE
Through Connect we are able to encourage communication on a number of levels, share ideas, and champion a cause. This is the perfect space to remain connected to friends and colleagues serving in mission around the world. Networks and associations may to use Connect to facilitate discussion and to share ideas by setting up Private or even Hidden Groups to facilitate their ongoing communication.
COLLABORATE
Our ultimate goal is that as people connect and communicate it will lead to increased collaboration between ministries, agencies, networks and individuals. Through Connect you are able to champion a cause, raise awareness, share needs, create projects, plan outreaches, events, etc. Connect allows for a much greater level of interaction in communication. In short with Connect we find:
Once a network or organization joins Connect they can invite their own members, establish and manage their own Groups, either Public for the purpose of education and exposure, or Private or even completely Hidden Groups for internal communication.
WEBSITE OWNERSHIP AND SPONSORSHIP
Connect is developed and maintained by the Global Great Commission Network (GGCN). GGCN seeks to serve mission associations, agencies, churches, individuals, networks, and other ministries globally who share the vision of every people group reached and in the process of being discipled in this generation.
REGISTRATION APPROVAL
The security of Connect is closely guarded to ensure that all users are legitimate Great Commission participants. Accordingly, all registrations are screened and must be approved by Connect administrators before access to Connect is possible. In addition, users can guard their information by controlling what information is made public on their profile, using a public name that is an alias, and more.
COST OF CONNECT
Connect is provided free of charge to legitimate Great Commission participants by GGCN, and always will be free.
BROWSER COMPATIBILITY
Connect support most modern web browsers including Firefox, Safari, Chrome and Internet explorer.
APPROPRIATE CONTENT
All public postings to Connect should be related to Christian topics and, for the most part, be related to Great Commission mission information or activities. Personal updates and individual ministry activities are welcome, but should avoid self-promotion or ministry solicitations. Prayer requests, including financial needs, should be communicated. But active fund-raising activities are not appropriate. Connect administrators reserve the right to remove any content deemed inappropriate in either content or langauge.
USER COMMUNICATIONS
Users may receive occasional email communications from Connect administrators to encourage participation and to provide updates.
